Rope Access and Positioning on Wind Energy Installations in Accordance with FISAT
Within the courses in Rope Access and Positioning techniques (RAT), instruction is provided in the basic elements of rope supported work procedures.
Our five-day courses are conducted at our training centers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Upon request, we also conduct a Rope Access and Positioning training session for your personnel at your own installations as wind generators. Just call us!
Theoretical Contents
· Equipment
· Knowledge of rope and knot-tying principles, registration and examination regulations
· Theoretical basics on the selection of anchor points
· Rope protection theory and work-site positioning
· Education on trade vocabulary such as energy absorption, fall factor, hanging trauma, etc.
· Impact of rescue actions on the human body
Practical Contents
· Proper usage of rope access techniques
· Climbing and descent in rope systems
· Self-protection and protection of others
· Application of rescue techniques
Examination
Proof of theoretical knowledge is determined by written examination on the 5th day of the course. Safe application of the basics of rope access techniques is tested in a practical examination by a FISAT certifier and evaluated according to a point system.
